If you are heading out strawberry picking any time soon, I have a great way for you to use up those beauties with this Strawberry Syrup recipe. Made with just strawberries, sugar, and water, this is a quick recipe that can be used in so many different ways.
How to Make Strawberry Syrup
Storing
This syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 month in an air tight container.
Freezing
You can also freeze strawberry syrup. Place in a container with about an inch between the syrup and the top of the container to leave room for expansion. Place in the freezer for up to 3 months.
Strawberry Syrup for Drinks
This recipe works a lot like a strawberry simple syrup and can be used in place of regular simple syrup in cocktail recipes. For example, it would be great replacing the simple syrup in a traditional Mojito recipe. This recipe is also amazing in a little champagne to make my Strawberry Bellinis.
Strawberry Milk
This recipe is perfect to replace Hershey’s Strawberry Syrup and make strawberry milk. There really is no need to measure, just fill a glass with milk, and add syrup to taste. My kids love this special treat! While this is an old recipe that is getting updated, I just couldn’t take out a picture of my middle kiddo enjoying some “pink milk.” She’s seven years older now, but just as sweet.
Strawberry Pancake Syrup
This recipe is also amazing as a topping to pancakes! I have a great Strawberry Pancake recipe coming for you next week, but this syrup is perfect over any type of pancakes.
