St Paddy’s Day is a day all around the world people are eating green food, drinking green beer and even the Chicago river is dyed a pretty shade of clover green. All for the fun Irish holiday. It is a huge holiday in the U.S., celebrated with green food, green drinks and even green rivers. Being born and raised in England, I never really noticed any big celebrations until I moved to America. This day is not all about great green cocktails, food is just as important and in addition to the Irish Stew and Colcannon, why not try something unique like my Luck of the Irish Chili? It comes with homemade shamrock tortilla chips. With spiked drinks, you can also spiked food. I have a fun and easy Irish Coffee Milkshake that makes a tasty dessert. (pictured below) I admit, I have never been to Ireland. But I am British and I lived most of my life just 200 miles away, but I never saw the beautiful Irish countryside. I do go back to England regularly so I have many chances to rectify this and one day I will. One really doesn’t have to be in Ireland to celebrate St Patrick’s Day. I was surprised how popular this holiday is when I moved the the U.S. People really do go all out! This is my green contribution to this fine Irish holiday. This  green Dublin cocktail is about as Irish as it gets and you can’t help but notice how green it is from the sour apple  schnapps. It’s sour, it’s sweet and it packs a good ‘ole Irish kick from the Jameson Irish Whiskey. So to my fellow countrymen… Happy St Patrick’s Day!
