I do love a no-cook sauce! This type of sauce can be used in a multitude of ways that pairs with all proteins. If you are a Culinary Ginger follower, you’ll know that I have a few go-to sauces like my Everyday Herb Sauce, Miso Sauce Dressing and Marinade and Meyer Lemon Dressing and Marinade. If you haven’t tried making these, you simply must. They’re all so easy and oh, so delicious!

This sauce gets a nice, spicy kick from my favorite Sonoran spicy, smoky, hot sauce, Arizona Gunslinger which is marketed as a steak sauce, but I use it for so many other things. Like mixing with Mexican Grilled Corn and Squash Salad or drizzling over my Spicy Blue Cheese Potato Chips which are simply potato chips topped with blue cheese and Arizona Gunslinger hot sauce.

A good sauce is always an ideal way to add instant flavor to any dish (just as fresh herbs are). All my sauces are perfect for marinating, serving over salad and even dipping. They are all vinaigrette based and a good rule of thumb for a vinaigrette is 3 parts oil to 1 part acid, which is the best ratio. With this, you can make any delicious sauce quickly.

Sonoran Jalapeño Lime Sauce Serving Suggestions

For a quick meal prepared on the grill, I like to marinade chicken or shrimp in the sauce, grill and serve with more sauce. Another delicious serving idea is to drizzle over hot dogs. Have you ever heard of the Sonoran hot dog? It is a bacon-wrapped hot dog with Mexican toppings, similar to my Mexican Hot Dog. This Sonoran Jalapeño Lime Sauce would be delicious for either of these delectable dogs. Oh… don’t forget about my Sonoran Beef Tacos that would also be a perfect mate for this sauce. If you find that the sauce separates after it has been sitting, either blend it again, give it a good shake or simply whisk it. It’ll be perfect again!
