Storing Leftovers
Leftover green beans can be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to four days. When reheating, do so over low heat, and covered. As with all recipes, use your best discretion when it comes to leftovers. But our family’s schedule can often make it hard (or impossible) to make well rounded dinners. That makes easy side dishes a must in my house. I love roasted vegetable side dishes that are simple but delicious. This amazing roasted green beans recipe checks all the boxes. It is easy to make, delicious, and my kids love it. Please also note that I am using kosher salt in this recipe. If you only have table salt, you will want to use even less. Table salt gives more bang for it’s buck, so if you use the same amount as is called for kosher salt, it will likely be too salty.
Bright Green – this will indicate that they are very fresh. Firm to the touch – you will also want to pay attention to if they have any dents, brown spots, or mushy areas. Don’t bend when you hold them out straight – this is another indication that they are very fresh.
