We had the hottest week in April last week, record high in 70 years. And what better way to cool down than, with this blade less Dyson Cool Tower fan AM07. Unlike the usual desk fans and tower fans, this Dyson tower fan is blade less, which makes it a lot safer to use and easier to clean { No Awkward corner } Unboxing this 36" Dyson Tower fan AM07 was an easy-peasy task. The box contains four parts the bases, the loop amplifier and the remote in Cool White color. Instruction manual is clear enough for a five year old to understand how to assemble them. My little missy helped me with the instructions by looking at the pictures and we assembled it in less than five minutes. Before I actually worked on this review post we put this tower fan to a good test.
Remember to point the remote to the front of the fan, to actually record and action any of the functionalities. However I wish the fan could actually recognise the remote action anywhere on the blade. There are 10 precise air flow settings on the remote for you to decide on the speed, which is actually quite a large range. Whilst Speed One is gentle enough, Speed 10 cools you down instantly in super hot weather.
Sleep timer can be programmed between 15 minutes to 9 Hours interval. Oscillation is smooth enough (approximately 180degree) allowing to direct the airflow across the room.
How does Air multiplier technology works? The cooling affect from the fan occurs as the speed of the airflow comes in contact with the skin. Hence this blade less fan actually cools the person rather than the room. Noise Whilst this fan is not completely silent, it is 60% quieter than a usual tower fan. We do have ‘other’ brand of tower fans at home and they are quite noisy for the comparative speed. Cleaning A dry/ damp soft microfibre cloth does the needful for cleaning. ** The brand does not recommend using any cleaning products on them.
