Happy Wednesday, my friends! I am just coming back from two whirlwind days in NYC where I got to spend time at Facebook. Like the actual Facebook and learn from them all about best practices and what I can do to best interact with people who want to follow me there. It was super inspiring, and also a little bit mind blowing. My biggest take away from yesterday was that I want to have a space on Facebook that I can connect with you more directly. Sooooo . . . . I started a Facebook group where we can chat, share ideas, and I can run things I’m thinking about for the blog past you – my followers who really keep this whole thing afloat. The name of the group is Hot Mess Moms (with the caveat that it’s really for anyone – dads included – who are doing this crazy parenting thing), and I hope to see you there soon! In the meantime, should we talk about this Pumpkin Spice Homemade Granola Recipe? It is so ridiculously yummy that I had to get it out of my house, ASAP. I mean, is granola healthy? Sure. As recipes go, it’s pretty good. But like everything in life, moderation is key and me eating a whole batch of homemade granola in one day is probably not a great deal if I want to keep fitting into my jeans. It’s THAT good.

WHAT GOES IN THIS GRANOLA RECIPE?

Oil – I used vegetable oil, but you could also use grape seed oil. Honey – maple syrup would also be really good in this recipe. Brown Sugar Vanilla Extract Pumpkin Spice Old Fashioned Oats (do not use quick cooking oats) Chopped Pecans – I feel like pecans are such a great nut for autumn recipes, but you could use something else Golden Raisin – again, I feel like the goldenness compliments this recipe, but you could use dried apples, cranberries, or just regular raisins

HOW DO YOU MAKE THIS GRANOLA RECIPE?

This makes a great breakfast recipe for this time of year, and it really is super simple to make. You just need a few minutes of prep time and then some baking time. Plus it makes your kitchen smell delicious!
