Mint leaves: Just like in the classic mojito, fresh mint leaves add a unique flavor and aroma when muddled. Lime juice: Freshly squeezed is always best for cocktails. Simple syrup: Adds just enough sweetness to the cocktail. I love making my own simple syrup for cocktails because it is so easy and there are no extra additives or preservatives. Tequila: The star spirit of a classic margarita, always choose a tequila labeled 100% agave for best flavor. Club soda: Use a freshly opened bottle for maximum bubbles and fizz. Salt and lime wedge for garnish

Prepare your glass. Coat the rim of the glass with simple syrup and dip in kosher salt. Muddle the mint. In the bottom of a tumbler, gently muddle the mint leaves, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup. Add the rest of the ingredients. Add in the tequila, then ice, and top with club soda. Give it a gentle stir. Garnish and enjoy! Add extra mint leaves and a lime wedge for garnish and enjoy while cold.
