Easy Kebab shop Garlic Yogurt dip recipe below

Its simplicity makes it my go-to dip for any occasion. Just mix the ingredients and enjoy the burst of freshness and lightness in the garlic dipping sauce.

Why you’ll love this recipe?

Quick and Easy: Simple and quick to make, requiring just a few basic ingredients. No cooking involved, making it an easy, hassle-free recipe. Versatile: Easy to vary with your favourite herbs like coriander, mint or jalapenos or grated/chopped cucumber like in cucumber raita. Highly versatile, serving as a cool and savoury dip for a variety of dishes. Easy to scale up or down: Perfect for those busy days when you need a flavourful sauce in a pinch. Make a small batch or whip one for the party - still just takes under 5 minutes.

Greek Yogurt: I prefer Greek Yogurt for its creamy texture, but feel free to use Natural Yogurt or Vegan Yogurt according to your taste. For a delicious twist, you can also substitute ¼ cup of sour cream. Fresh Garlic: To achieve that perfect garlicky flavour, I use fresh garlic. If you prefer a milder taste, just use 1 clove or swap it with garlic granules. Lemon: Adding fresh lemon juice creates a perfect balance of zing to the sauce. Salt & Pepper: I add about ½ teaspoon of salt and black pepper, but feel free to adjust it to your liking. Dried Mint: This is the secret ingredient that elevates the flavours. I make my own dried mint at home and store it in jars. It’s super quick, taking just under 5 minutes.

Pair it with air fryer roasted veggies, grilled meats, air fryer paneer tikka or whole roasted cauliflower to add a burst of flavour. Drizzle the sauce over a crisp salad such as cabbage slaw or sliced cucumber. It goes excellently with crispy potato slices, aloo tikki, green peas kebab, sweet potato fries, courgette fritters, air fryer falafels, sandwiches or wraps.

Variations

There are so many easy variations to this delicious Garlic dipping sauce. Sour Cream: Enhance the creaminess by replacing ¼ - ½ cup of yogurt with sour cream. The result is a deliciously creamy twist on the classic sauce. Thinner with Natural Yogurt: Substitute the greek yogurt with natural yogurt, and enjoy a lighter version of the sauce. Fresh Herbs: Elevate the flavours with a variety of fresh herbs like mint, chopped dill, or parsley. Each herb brings its unique touch to the sauce. Transformation: Add grated cucumber and plenty of dill to the sauce, and voilà - it becomes a delightful tzatziki! Add plenty of chopped dill to make dill yogurt sauce. Simply remove the garlic, throw in some diced cucumber, spices, and fresh coriander for an Indian cucumber raita. Spicy Kick: Add a pinch of smoked paprika, kashmiri red chilli powder, diced green chilli, or jalapenos for a touch of spicy flavors.
