I love homemade salad dressings. They are so easy to make and put your own spin on. This easy Jalapeño Ranch Dressing takes one of our favorite recipes and puts a little spicy spin on it. It is the perfect addition to so many recipes.
How to Make Jalapeno Ranch Dressing
Substituting Buttermilk
If you don’t keep buttermilk on hand, it is easy to make a substitute. Add 1/2 a tablespoon of white vinegar or lemon juice to a glass measuring cup. Fill the measuring cup up to to the 1/2 cup mark. Let it sit for 5 minutes and then use it in place of the buttermilk in this recipe.
Pickled Jalapeño
I love the pickled taste that the pickled jalapeño adds to this recipe. In fact we have a picked jalapeño recipe that we love! If you want want to use fresh jalapeño, replace the pickled jalapeño with one fresh. I suggest slicing off the sides, rather than using the ribs and the seeds. The fresh itself will add a nice heat, if you use the whole pepper it will add quite the boost of heat.
Chives
If you want to replace the fresh chives with dry chips, you can use 1 tablespoon of dry chives in place of the fresh.
