Should we start talking about holiday entertaining?! I love making recipes for you around this time of year that are perfect for sharing with people you love. It’s kind of my jam. One easy addition to holiday entertaining is charcuterie boards. They are kind of hot right now and for good reason. They aren’t difficult to throw together and they end up looking so pretty.
Hummus Charcuterie Board For Entertaining
One of my favorite get togethers this time of year is Friendsgiving. There is something about getting together with friends that fills my heart with joy and makes me truly grateful for these people that I’ve chosen to be family. I also love how it is basically a creative spin on Thanksgiving. Twists on recipes aren’t just welcome, they are kind of perfect for Friendsgiving. I thought a unique charcuterie board with twists on hummus would be perfect for Friendsgiving. My creative little spins on hummus are perfect for fall and they were made with my favorite, Sabra hummus. I love that hummus is a great stand by, just like Thanksgiving, that is perfect to make spins off of, just like Friendsgiving!
What Kind of Hummus to Use
You can easily take classic hummus and dress it up, which is what I do with three different spins shared below. I love to make homemade hummus with chickpeas, tahini, and a few other simple ingredients. It is so easy and has great flavor, but you can totally make this charcuterie board with store-bought hummus. I love the Sabra brand. Hummus makes such a great snack when served with crackers, pita bread, or veggies like carrots, cucumber slices, or red peppers. Be sure to scroll to the recipe card at the bottom of the post for the full recipes for each hummus variation, including all ingredients, measurements, and directions.
Other Great Recipes For Hosting
If thinking about Friendsgiving has your creative juices firing on all cylinders, you are not alone. Friendsgiving is such a great time to make the holiday your own.
Make the hummus. Prepare each variation of hummus according to the directions in the recipe card. Put the hummus in bowls. Put each type of hummus in its own small bowl to go on the board. Put it all together. Add the bowls of hummus to a large serving board, cutting board, or platter. Surround each bowl with pretzels, crackers, fruits, and vegetables for serving. Serve immediately.
