Happy December friends! Last night our family put up our Christmas decorations – the kids have been asking about them pretty much non-stop since the second they put down their forks on Thanksgiving. Stockings, nativity sets, and advent calendars. This is going to make me sound like such a sap, but I don’t even care. Last night after I tucked the kids in, I came downstairs, to see the fireplace going, the stockings hanging from it, and the cute little advent calendars out, and I got super emotional about it. It made me so happy. Thank God for my kiddos. After losing Elliot and my mom, Christmas has the potential to make me want to crawl into a hole and not ever come back out, but they really know how to bring it in the happiness department. And guys, I haven’t even been sippin’ one of these awesome Eggnog Martinis. I’m geniuniely just this happy about it being December 1st. But I will say, these Eggnog Martinis will certainly help you get your holly jolly on. I had a specialty martini cocktail for the first time when I was (cough) maybe not quite old enough to enjoy one at Nathan’s company work party eons ago. That guy literally snatched me up days after I turned 18. Anyway!

HOW TO MAKE AN EGGNOG MARTINI

This eggnog martini recipe is a different take on that drink, but just as special. It is dessert in a martini glass and your party guests are going to love it. It’s perfect for a Christmas cocktail party or just a holiday ladies’ night. I made it with regular vodka, but if you happen to have vanilla vodka or caramel vodka on hand, it would be delicious with those also. Those lines you see in the glass would be caramel sauce because ????. But if you don’t have that, you could certainly skip it. If you are looking for other great martinis to serve at your holiday party, make sure you check out this Chocolate Martini, this Tiramisu Martini, and this Pomegranate Martini!

Holiday Cocktails

If you are throwing a holiday cocktail party, you are going to want this specialty martini as well as this cranberry pomegranate champagne cocktail, this cranberry orange sangria, and this cinnamon sangria.

Holiday Appetizers

And don’t forget about the appetizers! Make your guests these cranberry brie bites and this olive cheeseball. They will also love this chocolate covered strawberry baked brie!
