Why You’ll Love This Recipe For Cider Margaritas
Ingredients In Apple Cider Margaritas
Complete list of ingredients and amounts can be found in the recipe card below.
Apple Cider – Any type of apple cider will do. Look for cider in the produce section near the apples.Tequila – Use your favorite tequila for margaritas! I’m using a simple tequila blanco, but you can also try flavored tequila in this recipe. Orange Juice – Squeeze your own, or use a high-quality store-bought orange juice. Lime Juice – Sweetened lime juice is preferred, but fresh lime juice can also be used to make homemade margaritas. Fruit to Garnish – Thin slices of lime or apples will make a beautiful garnish. Cut a small slit on one side so that it can sit on the rim. Cinnamon and Sugar – These will make the tastiest sugar rim for our apple cider drinks! You also need ice cubes, a cocktail shaker, and margarita glasses.
How To Make Margaritas with Apple Cider
Recipe Tips
Use a measuring glass, or a tool made for cocktails called a jigger, to be sure that your tequila and juices are measured correctly and at the correct ratio. If you don’t have a cocktail shaker, you can use a large mason jar with a lid to make this drink. In a pinch, a protein drink shaker cup works well too! Instead of plain tequila, try a flavored one such as lime, apple, or cinnamon. You can use fresh lime juice in place of the sweetened lime syrup if you prefer, although the margaritas will be a bit less sweet this way.For extra icy apple cider margaritas, chill the glasses. You can also serve this cocktail on the rocks (over ice) in tall glasses if you prefer.
