Isn’t fall (autumn) just the best time of the year? When it’s chilly outside, think all being all warm inside, sitting by the fire in your cozy slippers all the while sipping a Homemade Hot Apple Cider or Pimm’s Winter Cup and snacking on these nuts. Maybe you’re watching a movie or just listening to music. Sounds good doesn’t it? As mentioned, these nuts are roasted with a delicious combination of spices. Garam masala, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg allspice, a little fresh rosemary and a little sweetness from honey could just make these nuts the perfect snack.

How long can you store spiced nuts?

Stored in a sealed jar, these nuts will keep for up 2 weeks in a cool, dry place or refrigerator.

Freezing Spiced Nuts

Once cooled from the oven, you can place them in a freezer bag or freezer proof container and freeze for up to 3 months. Defrost at room temperature.

Spiced Nuts for Entertaining

You can made double batches of these autumn Spiced Nuts to have around for holiday entertaining. They’re perfect to serve with drinks. I also like to use Mexican spices along with lime for my Mexican Chile Lime Peanuts (pictured below).

Spiced not Spicy Nuts

While these roasted mixed nuts are spiced, they are not spicy. If you want to add a little spice, you can add a bit of cayenne pepper. Just remember to taste them as you add the pepper so you don’t go overboard! Now that you know how easy it is to make nuts with spices, there is no reason to buy store-bought spiced nuts anymore. Plus, you can customize them how you like with your favorite mix of different nuts.
