Double the Recipe
If your family is like mine, you may want to consider doubling the recipe. In that case you will need to cook the bacon in batches. It is important to keep the bacon in a single layer and that is very difficult to do with more than 1/2 a pound of bacon. And here Air Fryer Bacon swoops in like a hero. This is our new favorite way to make bacon – hands down. When you air fry bacon you get all the crispiness of bacon you would get in a cast iron skillet on the stove top, but with none of the mess. I love how easy this version is to clean up. Even better, you don’t have to watch it and it turns out crisp every time. It is so easy, it’s less mess, and the bacon cooks so evenly. It will be your new favorite way to make bacon!
Regular cut bacon will need to cook for 8 to 10 minutes total. Thick cut bacon will need to cook for 10-12 minutes total.
To prevent overcooking, check the bacon periodically.
Recipes Using Cooked Bacon
If you are holding off on buying one, definitely ask for one for Christmas. I don’t love having so many extra kitchen appliances, but we do use our air fryer several times a week – my favorite recipe is oddly, Air Fryer Broccoli.
Easy Bacon Cheddar Biscuits are great for brunch, an appetizer, or alongside soups and salads. They are so simple and come together quickly. Turkey Bacon Brie Grilled Cheese may just be your new favorite sandwich. The Spinach Bacon Salad is filling enough for a meal with just enough flavor and crunch.
