About my easy 2 minutes Stir fry sauce recipe
My family absolutely loves Indo-Chinese cuisine, and I prepare it at least once a week. I have a penchant for creating my own sauces and seasonings. This all purpose stir-fry sauce takes ordinary dishes and elevates classic recipes to something truly extraordinary. I often use this sauce to whip up a quick batch of vegetable noodles for my kids’ lunchboxes. In fact, I’ve made it so many times, I usually just pour the ingredients straight from the bottles rather than measuring them out. However, for those busy days or when we’re on the go, I prepare a small batch and keep it stocked in the fridge. This way, my family can enjoy a stir-fry or noodles almost instantly. Our homemade sauce is not only quick and easy but also crafted from readily available ingredients. It takes just 2 minutes to prepare, and you end up with a delightful stir-fry sauce bursting with flavours.
Ingredients
Soy Sauce: I prefer to use both Dark Soy Sauce and Light Soy Sauce for a well-rounded flavour. Using only dark soy sauce can make the sauce too intense. Rice Wine Vinegar: This ingredient adds a tangy note to the sauce, enhancing its overall taste. Tomato Ketchup: If you’re familiar with Indo-Chinese cuisine, you’ll know that tomato ketchup is essential for introducing a touch of sweetness and balancing the soy flavours. Hot Sauce: To achieve the right level of heat, I include a bit of Sriracha sauce. Sometimes, I also enjoy adding some chili flakes for an extra kick. Sesame Oil: In both Indo-Chinese cuisine and stir-fries, sesame oil is a must. It contributes to the sauce’s rich flavors and aroma. Fresh Ginger and Garlic: I always use fresh ginger and garlic for the sauce. While you can substitute with ginger powder and garlic granules, fresh ingredients provide the best taste. Lime Juice: This adds a zesty and refreshing element to the sauce, brightening up the flavours. Don’t have them handy, give it a miss.
How do you make Homemade stir fry sauce in 5 minutes?

Flavour Variations
This sauce is delicious as-is, but you can absolutely add other ingredients to customize the flavours to your tastes. While this stir-fry sauce is not overly sweet like the commercial sauces, it’s incredibly flavourful. Gluten-Free: Substitute Soy sauce with tamari sauce for a gluten-free version. Sweeter Flavour: Simply add a bit more tomato ketchup to achieve the desired level of sweetness. For an Extra Thick Consistency: The sauce already has a good consistency, but if you’d like it even thicker, you can add 1 tablespoon of cornflour and shake the jar vigorously until it reaches your preferred thickness. To Add More Spiciness: If you like your sauce spicier, feel free to add a little more Sriracha sauce to suit your taste. To Make Honey Soy Sauce: If you’re in the mood for a sweeter and slightly different twist, replace the tomato ketchup with honey in this recipe to create an easy Honey Soy Sauce. Once you make it at home, you will see how easy it is and you will never go back to store bought ones again.
